My report:

Album Release Party of Ferry Corsten Presents Passport Kingdom Of The Netherlands

A day of 2 before the party we’d received a newsletter were they said the Party started @ 15.00. So we (Nadine, Sjoerd and I) went early to Ferry’s home town (Rotterdam) because we would visit some stores in Rotterdam first.

So we arrived @ 12:15 in Rotterdam. We’d shopped a little had a little bite after that we we’re heading for R’dam Beach. We arrived at R’dam beach about 14:50, before we entered the beach 2 ladies asked us to participate in sort of reporter recruit thing. We didn’t made it through the selection but whatever, we weren’t there for that, we were there for ferry :)

But @ 15.00 the we’re still busy with building up the stage, so there wasn’t any sign of ferry yet. But hey sun, beach and nice ppl so it wasn’t that hard waiting. We’d founded a nice seat to sit on in front of the stage. After a while (in not sure I though around 16:15) Robert Smit started spinnin’ his clubby records. Which sounded nice but @ 17.00 (what was first the beginning of the party before we received that email) still no sign of ferry.

Finally @ 17:30 ferry arrived in his own car :) First he took some drinks and chatted a little bit around with peeps in the vip area. After he was finished saying hello to everybody there he started to spin his first record at 18:05. There weren’t that much present yet but there were coming more and more people after a while. In the beginning there were 2 much ppl taking pictures IMO and some of them climbed the stage to get a better picture. Ferry as kind as he always is was taking some time for them to give them a nice shoot. But after a while they were putted fences in front of the stage.

His record choice was really great (as always), for the track list visit ferrycorsen.com the track list section on the forum. There was one song that I really liked to hear that evening and that was the superb track “I Love You”. But Lia wasn’t present so maybe he didn’t played that track because of her absence.

His parents were present and they are really cool, his mother danced the night away it was so cool to see her enjoying her sons music. His dad also like to had a great time there.

@ 22.50 he stopped for a min of 2 they gave away some free albums and played the last track for that evening. Which was Adagio For Strings.

After that we walked trough wards the central station to go home. We all we’re very tired @ the end of the day. When we arrived in Niewerkerk a/d Ijssel we took a quick drink and after that I drove home with Passport Kingdom Of The Netherlands coming out of my stereosystem :D

At last I wanna thank Nadine, Sjoerd and Ferry of course for having a great day.
Twan and Chris, it was great meeting you again.

Hope to see you all soon!!

Arrived around 18:10 when Ferry seemed to be just have started spinning.
Weather was lovely and the view over the Erasmus Bridge was just stunning in this ambience/setting. Got more crowded lateron (20h-ish). Ferry spun a sublime and memorable set: lots of choons I can't ID instantly tho.... Just loved: Who's Knocking, Till There Was You , Galaxia, Right of Way, Rock you body rock, Air For Life and my latest favo: Majestic which totally drove me insane !
Nothing else to add from Tricky's superb review anyways: was just another excellent party: sublime set, lovely location, mixed crowd, excellent ambience !! :D

Bien and Rico: nice to meet the both of you ! Enjoyed your company ;)
And Rico: am really looking 4ward to your lovely pics M8

Edit: Rough selection of pics is replaced by defo selection btw

I've really had a great time at the Ferry Corsten Album Release Party. The music was outstanding, the crowd was fantastic.
I've seen so many people that I haven't seen in ages, it was a pleasant surprise for examp to see the Kieboom brothers again.
Ferry was as always enjoying himself to the max. I enjoyed myself listening to the music, dancing my ass of every now and then and noticing how the crowd just loves Ferry for what he does best. Working the crowd with carefull precision and overwelming enthousiasm. I've taken some pictures during the day from the gig and the people who were there. I hope to place them online soon.

Hi,
We enjoyed the concert very much it was awesome.
We made about 600 photo's of the event. A little bit too much I think :)

I got 250 photo's from the party people on the beach and in the vip area online.
We made a lot of photo's of Ferry but I wil make a selection to put online. Also 100 crowd photo's.

I loved the party!!! To bad I didn't meet any off you :(
I had a great Ferry-weekend...saw him at Illusion at the Beach then at Rotterdam. The Rotterdam party was the best IMO cause the Illusion crowd was a bit weird and didn't really respond to the music (I hate that! I love dancing and stuff at a party....not standing around and looking at people  )

Anyway....hope to meet you all next time!
