In any case, it's a huge honour for him.

Let's hope he doesn't mess up and trainwrecks in front of 2,2 billion people :D

It will be broadcasted all around the world so he could promote trance music a lot as well..

Hell no, he's not gonna trainwrecks. Now he knows what to do ;) But I'm wondered what channel in USA will broadcast it live?anyone knows? I hope he'll play "Three Drives On A Vinyl - Greece" :D

I think I read somewhere that NBC will broadcast the whole thing..

Apparently Tiësto will spin some tracks that have been specifically made/remixed for the Olympic Games as well. I hope he doesn't spin Traffic, Flight 643 or Love Comes Again..

IMO Tiësto should spin tracks that really show the beauty of trance.. so that it might lure people into listening to it.

I mean tracks like Delerium feat. Sarah McLachlan - Silence (DJ Tiësto's In Search Of Sunrise Remix), William Orbit - Barber's Adagio For Strings (Ferry Corsten Remix), Gouryella - Ligaya.. etc :)

But let's see what he comes up with.. perhaps Geert Huinink has composed some nice classical pieces for him :)

Actually, I don't see Tiesto plays Ferry Corsten productions anymore. IMO, he'll play his own remix of "Adagio For Strings", and if he wanna play Gouryella's production, he won't play "Ligaya", he'll probably play "Tenshi."But I agree, I don't like "Love Comes Again." The vocal is good but I just don't like the beat or rythm of it. I think that's the only track of Tiesto that I don't like or even HATE it (sometimes :D ).

I didn't seen it al all, did I mist alot???

I'm gonna see tiesto live on Tiësto in Concert 30 okt 2004 here in holland gelredome :) My first time tiesto live, i'm wondering what i can aspect.

I've already was present by ferry right of way after and also on the oceandiva by armin only.

I still prefer ferry :D

Armin is also a good dj but the records that he played in 6 hours weren't all very good. He played quite a lot simple records, ferry played 6 hours the stars out of heaven with his records choice :)

if armin only has to play for a hour of 1 or 2 than his record choise is much better instead of 5 or 6 hours. His set on Queensday was really good :)

I've really got a funny picture of ferry that i've made on queens day. Click on the following link: http://www.tricky.dds.nl/Koninginnedag2004/IMG_0042.html

At the olympic ceremony you couldn't hear much of tiesto's performance. The music wasn't very loud and he was interrupted a lot by the speaker and the commentators, but that was to be expected. He was only there for the backgroundmusic. He played a lot of old material like flight 643, lethal industry and nyana. It still was a great honour though. An experience of a lifetime and something he will probably never forget. :D

That one thing for sure :)

A simple guy out of a quite small country, that is asked to mix some music a worlds biggest sport event :D

The olympic organisers said that he could only play his own music. If they hadent he probably would have played lots of music from other artists and even some from Ferry

Why did he have to play his own music? So they didn't have to pay roayalties!? Thats disgraceful. He could of created a greater opening ceremony with a wide selection of tracks.

I'd like Ferry to play there:))) More than half of crowd would forget about games and only listen to real trance:)))

True was a big honor for him, but nobody noticed him and paid attention. They were busy waving their flags and just being happy to be at the Olympics. I just heard him play Flight 643, Obsession, Traffic, Lethal Industry and at the very end Barber's Adagio for strings. I guess didn't really make an impact.

p.s: i forgot to notice that the price of the tickers was 300euros each...but doesnt matter how much cheap or expensive a ticket cost right?:)
