Whats makes Ferry different from other Trance DJ's? Why shouldn't he be the No.1 DJ in the world? Lets all make this happen this year at the DJ Mag Awards!!!!!!!!! We all know that this man is the best and he does it with a lot of passion. So I think he deserves this award this year.

I'll vote for him him too, but the reasone he's not no.1 I don;t know, maybe someone doesn't like he plays his productions a lot. I love em all, because his productions are amazing.

Ferry is gifted to recognize the best music to throw a party with as if he's got a marketing tool for that from the best quality.
Next to that he has got the abillity to compile them such way that the music stands out very strong.
His skillz are spot on and last but not least he has got a great personality.
I can really say that Ferry has never changed his character, the world around him has changed (protection) and sometimes that's for the best. For these reasons and many more Ferry deserves it to become the no 1 DJ.

Ive voted for Ferry ever year! He does deserve to be number 1, but there are a lot of other talented DJs out there too! So it isnt easy i guess...but we'll hafta make sure he does it this year, tho i think the competition is harder than ever!!! I recon Armin has a really good chance of getting it (and well deserved too!) but i think Tiesto might pull it off again, as his TiC2 coincides just in time with the voting, and the release of his DVD and album this year seems to really give him that extra edge! :p But i think its time for some else to win dont you guys think!!! Bring it on Ferry!!! We're behind you all the way! :D :cool:

ferry is the no. 1 DJ in the world to me because i have NEVER heard a set from him that *hasn't* made me want to dance. i cannot say the same of armin & tiesto, talented though they may be ;)

I see that we have gathered quite a few votes here. but i think we need more than that. like 40,000. so what everyone could do is to send a mail to all your friends and get them to vote for Ferry this year. Come on lets do this and lets all be happy and make the man happy himself!!!!!!! For sure Ferry' got loads of stuff planed for the coming months!!!! DVD's, Compilations, etc.. i don't think that's nice and right. tiesto has done a lot of great jobs in trance music. maybe he's not as good as before, but u shouldn't insult him.

I know a lot of people say Tiesto has become really up himself since he became number one, but Ive been thinking about that and really, all the guy is trying to do is make the most of his time at the top, which in all honesty, i think any dj would do!

He has done well as a dj and producer, and just seems to be getting better and better. I think hes got a really good chance at getting number one again, purely cos his marketing skills are unbelieveable!!! Not to mention the success of Just Be, playing at the Olympics opening ceremony and now with TiC2 coinciding perfectly with the voting...it really gives him a big advantage!!! Plus doesnt his forum have like over 30,000 members or something stupid like that!?

I understand he doesnt play as much in his 'home' town as often as he used to, but being the worlds number one dj, there are certain standards he has to meet and he has to share himself with the rest of the world so to speak! I think Tiesto is a great DJ and has worked really hard to get where he is! (and dont get me wrong, i definately think a lot of other DJs deserve to be where he is too - FERRY! ;) ) but i guess well just have to wait and see who gets it this year!!!

I think that Ferry should be 1st DJ of the world.I don't like what tiesto do.Speaking about DJing...Well,his mixing style is perfect.But music he makes is not so good as Ferr's.I listened to 'Just be'...A can highlight only 'Traffic' and 'Love comes again'(But he made it with BT)...FERRY THE BEST!:)

This is the first time I voted, and I voted for Ferry. Its true that Fery plays a lot of his own stuff but thats ok because its all amazine and other Dj's like Tiesto also play their own music. I think Tiesto wins over Ferry because more people see the producing side of Ferry than the Djing whereas with Tiesto its all about the Djing.

I'm a spanish dj, this is the first time that i write in this forum and as all of yours i'm a trance lover and a fan of ferry corsten, I think Ferry should be the no.º dj , but not only this year, I thinl the really 3 better djs are ferry corsten armin van buuren and markus schulz. ferry because he has almost made trance, he bring us the music from 1998, the birth of the trance that we have been hearing during years, gouryella, system f and many others, and from 2 years to right now, he is doing a remake of the trance sound, with right of way.... many people doesn´t enjoy it at the beginning but right now he has established a new way into the trance music and for this and for his sets too different from the others internation djs he has to be the no,1 dj, not Tiësto! :( . Armin Van Buuren is making a exceptional music and a very big work with armada music, his sets, the armada nights at ibiza, the parties at ocean diva and the way to do his radio show, A state of trance is for i think all the trance lovers a oportunity do know the music that will arrive in a the next month to all people and he is working very hard and very well, and markus schuls has created a sub style inside the trance , he has worked very well and has gave to us a deeper sound but without lose the hard touch that trance need, may be a fusion of trance and progressive but harder! this is what I think and because of this, this year i have vote for ferry in the dj mag for the number one, ferry in spain we love you an we are waiting with you again. best regards for all the members of the forum.

I love him from 99 ... I only rember these: 2000 (Gouryella rmx), Ravel's pavane (Corsten rmx), Barber's adagio (Corsten rmx).

His songs are so COMPACT ... only song has new sounds ... new melody ... ferry is the best in the world!!
