The month of March and April were awesome for trance. In March we had Future Music Festival (Schulz,Armin, Tracid as well as other guys like Guetta, Angello and many many other djs). In April, Paul van Dyk came after 3 year absense to play 5 hour set. We also had Kyau vs Albert but i missed them :-(

The only absentee is of course Ferry Corsten

Haha! I wish I could come over, I already looked into it but flights are just too expensive this time... Mum and Dad asked me to come home for Christmas (yeah trust them to leave it last minute! Now I know where I get it from :p) but since it is too close to the festive season, all good flights have been fully booked and prices have just sky rocketed!!! (At least 7000 euros for Mike and I to come over!!! :eek:)

Otherwise I would have been there without a doubt!

So, I was at the Gold Coast event!
It was huge.Weather was bad, but the turn out was still up to standard!
Loved every moment.
I believe at one stage I cried! That is the effect you have on your fans! hehe

I caught Ferry three times, twice in melbourne and once in perth.
The set he played on the mainstage at summerdayze in melbourne was incredible, banging tune after banging tune. The highlight for me was when he played gouryella - gouryella, then into out of the blue (2008 remix), then into his remix of embrace and then into radio crash!!! totally smashing stuff. I was in heaven haha
His set at the summerdayze after party in the club was huge as well, he just kept smashing us!!
I had two days rest before the big battle of the trance legends in Perth.
Ferry vs Armin!!!
Ferry won hands down. Ferry kept the good times rolling and played yet again another banging set!
Ferry was epic as, i love it.
Armin was on first. He played at a different stage to ferry. He started really well and was playing some big tunes in the first hour but then went to water and thus couldn't keep up with his fellow dutch master Ferry Corsten. Armin played just over 3hours while ferry did all his damage in 2 and clearly played the better set. Ferry's plan was simple, destroy all with his super fat tunage till no one was left standing. That he did. Even people who swear by armin as god said that ferry was on fire and a few even saw the light and jumped ship to team Corsten.
I can not wait to see Ferry again, it was one of his best tours in oz. Great work ferry!!
