Hey guys,
Just a quick question...Im looking at getting some new CDJs but have been tossing up between these two for some time now. I originally were getting the Pioneers, but a while back I discovered the new Denon model which looks awesome!!! Ive seen DJs use Pioneers everywhere I go, but if you look at the stats, the denon ones look so much better!? Being able to play two tracks off the same CD as well as MP3s...i dunno!
Would like to hear your input! Thanks :)

I have a Denon DN-S5000 and I think it's fantastic! It can do everything the Pioneer can do (as far as I am aware!) and a lot more too! I find it really easy to use and mix with - plus you can do some neat tricks on it! :)
The main difference is the Alpha track feature. As you mentioned, allows you to play different parts from the same CD at the same time. THis means you can mix two tracks form the same disc.
It also has the Hot-disc feature, that I must admit, I haven't really used yet! WHen you press the hot disc button, the deck ejects you CD but carries on play for up to 35 seconds. You can then loop this buffered data, stick another CD in and mix in from that!
The only thing that the Pioneer has going for it, is the number of instalations. It's not a bad CD deck at all - I'm sure you'd be more than happy with it... but, personally, I prefer the Denon.
BTW... A good site for info on the Denon is www.dn-s5000.com :D
