Can you not travel outside of your town? The town i live in is like around 70'000 people. He's never gonna come to Widnes (unless I build that superclub) ;) but I travel around to see him play. Although you may have to travel a bit furthur, it's definately worth it! He's the man!

Ant, the situation is really difficult, because Syktyvkar is pretty far from Moscow or/and St. Petersburg. Many of us can't afford a single trip to a rave-party. I understand that it's worth it, but most of us are saving money for summer breaks & stuff to travel to seaside.
Let alone Moscow is the financial and social centre of russian federation. Meaning all night life and opportunities are summed in the capital. And even for russian tourists the hotel prices are pretty high ( if you don't consider staying at a low-qaulity motel of course ). So most of russians can't afford visiting high-class rave open-airs and grand parties.
Thank God i live in Moscow :D

I'm curious to know....just how much do you think it would cost for you to travel to Moscow for a hotel stay and a night at Gatecrasher with Ferry? Does any one know in US dollars? I'm not familiar with the exchange rate. I only ask because I was able to see Ferry for about 80 dollars, including cheap hotel stay. I'm sure that it is significantly more over there....but how much?

for example for me, a single travel from Moscow to St.Petersburg (which is a pretty short trip ) to GateCrasher at Fort Dance was $150 worth and i didn't stay in a hotel. =)

DJ FM,
I have the recent set of Ferry "Live at Gatecrasher, Moscow" in my car and I listen to it all the time. I have seen Ferry twice and think that everyone needs to see him at least once. Next time you hear about Ferry spinning in Moscow or somewhere near you, send me either a private message or an email (sma14@case.edu) and I will try to pay for your trip if you can do it with around $150. I'm not rich, but I'm in college right now and I don't need a lot of money. Just make sure you get to see him next time he is there!!!

I'll pay anything to get to a good party - trips to dance valley, armin only etc cost about £200-£300 when you filter flights, accomodation, spending money etc...
But my first love is dance music and i'd spend my last penny getting to see the DJ's i love - in fact, trips this month to see armin and ferry(@ gods end of last month) have left me without a single penny to my name and i'm over my overdraft - But the memories and photographs (with my favourite DJ!!!!) make it all worth while...
I get paid again next week and it'll back to the old routine, i'm seeing hybrid, James Holden, Tiesto in concert, marcel woods, agnelli and nelson and John 00 flemming next month!!

I travelled more than 400km (which, I agree, is not very much, but nevertheless) to see Ferry last year when he came to Bucharest...and it wasn't so expensive. I mean, it was the ticket to the event, the train and some money to get something to eat during my stay. I didn't check in at any hotel, I just spent the whole day on the streets, then the whole night in the club where Ferry was playing, then the next morning on the streets and then just jumped into the train and went home. If you spare some money every month, there is no way you won't be able to make it to Moscow and back. ;)...supposingly you don't live 6345345km from Moscow.:p
EDIT:
So the rules are:
1. spare all the money you can for a few months
2. sleep on the train/bus rather than getting a hotel room
3. don't expect to afford buying more than 1 or 2 drinks inside the club
4. the end
...desperate times call for desperate measure.
But I can assure you that it'll worth it. The satisfaction of seeing Ferry would be so much greater when you know that you sacrificed a lot to be able to see him "live".

Jesus Christ, did I??? I had the BEST party in my life!!!
And consider THIS: I only had money to buy 1 beer (which was 4 times more expensive than usual), I went to the event alone (so I had no friends to chat with...which kinda sucked though:p , but that's a minor aspect), my feet were hurting since I entered the club around 11PM (I had been walking all day long), I had a bad hairday ( ) and ontop of all that, my telephone was dead, so I couldn't take any pictures. Oh, and the club security WOULDN'T LET ME REST MY FEET!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!...FOR THE WHOLE BLOODY NIGHT! They didn't allow me to sit on any chair, at any table, on the basis that I had to buy a drink to be allowed to have a seat, although out of 50 tables, 45 were vacant. And the most outrageous part was that they would raise me on my feet EVEN IF I WAS SITTING ON THE FLOOR!!! They said that "it disturbes the rest of the people". F&cking Hell!!!! For countless times I went to the frigging bathroom and sit a couple of minutes on the...throne, otherwise my feet would've collapsed on the dancefloor. Pretty lame stuff, eh? :(
BUT it was phenomenal!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sonicvibe did a great warm-up for 3 hrs, then Ferry spun for around 6 hours (initially he was supposed to spin for only 3 hrs). I had Ferry sign my cap, I took a picture with him (actually a guy with a camera took it), even chat with him a little. IT WAS WORTH IT!!!
DO NOT HESITATE TO GO TO A FERRY EVENT! EVER!!!
