Hi,Ferry.I've just watch one of your sets.I saw a CD in your hand.Do you play on CDs???I thought that you use vinyl only.I play on CDs and my dream to play on vinyl, but it's to expensive for me.By the way, what do you prefer to play on(i mean CDs or vinyl)?

On all the time's I've seen Ferry play it is a mix between vinyl and cd's. Sometimes mainly CD's and sometimes not.

CD's make everything a little easier in a DJ's life. Especially with the revolution that is CD Decks. They're lighter, easier to transport and you can make backup copies easily. If the get lost either on a plane or in a club, you can just burn another one. You have to own the original for it to make copies for yourself though. ;)

Although to which one he prefers I don't know. :)

I agree with you about easy copies, but i have many records from vinyl on CDs and i have to say that vinyl sound is beeter.Bass is clearer i think.Good way is Pioneer1000s.Very functional:)
Good luck!

I read in an interview somewhere that Ferry likes "the feeling of holding that vinyl or CD" when the interviewer asked him about his thoughts on Final Scratch.

But vinyls still have the best sound quality because it's an analog recording as opposed to digital like a CD.

Of course vinyl sound with scratches and dust is cool:)))

Ive seen Ferry use both as well...in fact last time i saw him play he used mainly CDs...maybe with his longer sets he uses more vinyl...

I think its good that Ferry can use both, it shows a clear sign of talent but then Ferry is good at using different genres together!

I think vinyls are great too...it used to be what djing was all about! but the convenience of cd players nowadays...i still prefer vinyl but i havent really had a good chance to use a cd player yet, tho they look very useful!
