Yeah I dont think the "official" information has been released. Everyone keeps saying this and that about the tune...but wer'e all waiting for the truth to be handed down from above;)

i actually requested that song from ferry to play it in his world tour show, but i guess there is no world show anymore. that's an awesome track, i hope he play that more. he also played in his right of way concert.

Yeah that concert was off the hook....I wasnt at the ROW release party...but I was DEF. privelged enough to see Ferry throw down an 8 hour set in Toronto! :D

The song being discussed is spun near the beginning of Ferry's WMC "Global DJ Broadcast" on The World Party 93.1 set. If you want to hear it you can probably find this set online. I know I did. ;) I believe Filo and Peri spun after him, if that helps you find it.

yeah Lia is amazing, and her voice was just perfect for the tune.

i asked lia about this and she said one day she whispered that to him, and he looked up, had a glint in his eye and told her to repeat in the same voice. she did.

and off he went inspired. came back with this wicked tune.

I asked for this tune in his gig in jordan(distant heat) and he played it.
and i was on cloud nine!!!!

coolest and nicest DJ ive ever met. bar none! :)

Sounds silly, but it could actually fit as a movie soundtrack. Envision a dramatic scene (leave that to your fantasy), and envision the music into it. And voila, you have a 'dramatic' movie scene put together. :p But that again, since the song contains the words 'I Love You', it could mean a passionate drama scene. But anyway, I'm too stupid to know anything about filmmaking. :p

Of course, if you know any other applications for it, let me know! ;)

I have a strong feeling that Ferry's waiting for the summer for the release of "I Love You" cos so that it could always be remembered as "sweet summer track" and when it plays.. people would just think about summer and remember the good old times :P

I made a cut-out of I Love You from his downloadable Trance Energy 2005 set on the Main Stage. If someone wants it, just ask! (I made an edit of it with fade-in and fade-out to make an impression it's one track). :)

I still believe it's going to be released on L.E.F. album. Currently there's two versions of it that Ferry Corsten is using the newer one for his live performances. So I think the older one will be released.

Yeah I think Ferry won't release the track. Just like Galaxia's symphonic remake. I'm pretty sure he'd have his reasons if he finally decides not to release it. His music, his choice ;)
Btw, I'm not sure about this but since Ferry started playing I Love you in his live sets, the track kinda evolved from one set to another. It's like he's been tweaking it every now and then. Dunno, it could be my ears fooling me hehe.
But anyways, great track, would do well as a release if Ferry decides to do so. Thumbs up Ferr!

I'm desperatly hoping Ferry will release this. Been in love with this track since the first time Ferry spun it. I keep on listening to the setrip over and over again. I was glad to find the track in his mediaplayer when the new site launched but it got removed pretty darn fast.

Ferry if you read this, there's enough fans out here that would like to see this track get a release. If you don't release it make it an exclusive download for forum members or something.. ;)

I don't really hear too much difference between what people say is the old vs the new version. They sound pretty similar. I mean, minor changes yeah, but that doesn't affect the song much.

well, the diff that i hear is that i personally find the new version more driving, more with the lef sound. the older one has the more classic trance sound to it. personally, i like the older one but so long as i have that 5-note, upscale-stepwise synth going, i'll be pretty damned satisfied :)

It's released as bonus track on the Dutch version of the L.E.F. album.
But for now it's only available as CD release and digital download.

WHOA! I just heard this! What a track!!! This is more of the Ferry I'm used to hearing! For me, its the highlight of the Album [The UK one]. The rest of the albums not bad too. But this one is Special. I can tell where you guys are coming from about the Version you heard ages ago live before it was released. I havent heard it, but I can imagine the one you guys talking about being amazinger [i dont think thats a word...]

I just heard a set-rip of I Love You and it simply blows me away. It has more power in it than the album version of the track. I think I have to concider this song the best production since the Out Of The Blue album. At least it fits my ears just right. Simply amazing.
I realy hope that the version we can hear live will be released. I can't wait.

I'm really worried.

It's more than a year since the release of "L.E.F." and even more since Ferry played "I Love You" for the first time. I just can't understand why definitely weaker tracks like "Junk" (nice experiment, but "Punk" got overplayed a long time ago, so living it as a album version only would be way better imo) got released, while such floorkiller track like "I Love You" still stays in the waiting-room. With such label politics trance will get killed way faster than it is predicted to :D.
I Love You has been debated quite a long time now, it's not 'just' a while ago. I think it's a personal track, because he used his wife's voice in it. As I heard he became inspired by her saying those three magic words, and he wanted to put it in music. Something like that. Very touching indeed!
I don't think it will ever get a full release, because it would fade away that intimacy and profoundness, and it will get over-overplayed like you have mentioned about 'Punk', because we have heard it a lot already :)

I think we should let this fairy tale be as it should be ;)

I'm afraid you misunderstood me. When I said about label's releasing politics I meant Ferry's. I was just curious why such fabulous trance track doesn't get released while some weaker do. Anlong looked on the problem from the other side and now I think he's right. Despite that, I still believe it's a lost to the trance scene that such great tracks like "I Love You", "Force of Gravity" (Ferry Corsten Remix) or PvD's "Autumn" have never got released. But for now I understand the reason behind such decision (except of "Force of Gravity").

Ps. Just think how - in such "thin years" of trance - when only a few trance gems get produced, "I Love You" would be appreciated :).

Despite that, I still believe it's a lost to the trance scene that such great tracks like "I Love You", "Force of Gravity" (Ferry Corsten Remix) or PvD's "Autumn" have never got released. But for now I understand the reason behind such decision (except of "Force of Gravity").

Ferry made that remix as a bootleg version for his own sets. He doesn't own the copyright from the track, so it's not up to Ferry to release the track. Even though it's his remix. If somebody for example would make a remix of a Ferry track, he or she is not allowed to release it without permission of the artist / record company / songwriter etc. So it's not always that easy ;) I can tell you that It was a lot of hard work to get Ferry's version from the 'Force Of Gravity' on the first Passport CD.

That one sounds just like the original! I hate it when people do that and put their name at the end as if it's their remix. There's one like that about Holding On and it's just the original!!:x

It simply sounds like he reconstructed Ferry Corsten's club mix.
I can't imagine he got the master samples, so it must be in terrible quality...

To clear things up, there are 3 "versions":

1st: the original, debuted during the Right Of Way release party as I have read elsewhere, and also heard in his Trance Energy 2005 recorded live-set

2nd: in random parties in 2006. It's basically the same track, but he has added breaks into the break-down, and it's stretched

3rd: the version on the L.E.F. album

I'm pretty sure there are 4 versions. At Global Gathering 2006 I'm sure he played one that sounded like the 2nd version + an extra sample which could clearly be heard in the break.

I guess I'll be the first to announce that full versions of the tracks from Ferry's mixalbum is now on trackitdown, including our dear I Love You. After almost five years, the wait is over!!! :D

However, I'll admitt that I have already been playing it non-stop for two weeks now. I bought it from DJ Download two weeks ago. It was UK restricted. Not many people knew it was there hehe:P
As a lot of us, this tune means a lot to me. I guess I liked being one of a handfull who had it ;)

Anyway, can't hide this anymore. Time to buy the wav on trackitdown! Weeeeeeeeeeeeee! :D

I heard many years ago a version wich is still never released. Even if the track is actually awesome, the version I mean is really better ! the synthe lead was different and the notes were more powerfull. The bassline was completly different, and also the drums...everything was different from all versions released.

Same thing happened with Ayumi Hamaski - Connected and the track Ferry called "The Love We Lost" (or something like that)...

So I still don't have this killer version of I LOVE YOU !
