To complete the lineup comes Vaccine's pick of the UK talent and rapidly rising star - Frase to round the night off in style.Frase caught our undivided attention with a string of massive remixes and productions that have all been canned at Vaccine, including his remix of 'The Viceroy and Karl G - Perception' and 'Above and Beyond-Tri State' which has been awarded the Future Favorite on Armin van Buuren's ASOT show.

This article is about The Gallery @ Turnmills in London, tomorrow (Fri)

Vaccine @ The Gallery sits down with rising Star Frase

From his initial impact into the scene in early 2005, Frase is quickly becoming one of the rising stars of todays Trance scene. At the age of 21, Frase has achieved massive success in the small time he has been on the scene.

2005 was the breakthrough year for Frase. Within only 6-12 months of producing Frase has had his tracks & remixes played in clubs like Gatecrasher, Godskitchen & Passion to name but a small few and finding themselves on play lists & charts from top jocks such as Paul Van Dyk, Armin Van Buuren, Ferry Corsten, Marco V, Eddie Halliwell, ATB, Above & Beyond, Agnelli & Nelson, and Matt Hardwick.

This early success continues to grow, today Frase finds himself labelled as a 'Rising Star' by many influential names in the trance scene. 2006 has seen releases & remixes on some reputable labels in the industry, picking up plays on some of the major radio stations, BBC Radio 1, GalaxyFM, Ministry of Sound. As the year progresses Frase has some exciting projects & collaborations lined up.

Not only an up & coming producer, Frase has also made a name for himself in the dj'ing field. 2006 alone has seen Frase grace the decks at many nights, most notably, Gatecrasher and Passion. Bookings are still coming in with Frase due to play at some of the biggest promotions & nights in the country as well as some international dates on the horizon!

With the plaudits Frase is receiving regulary for his productions & sets, 2006 and beyond looks like exciting times. Frase is definitely one to keep an eye out for!

1.Frase, how the devil are we?

Very good thank you, busy, but very good!

2. You are gracing the decks at the Vaccine pres The New Breed room at The Gallery, Turnmills on Friday 13th October for those who have never had the pleasure what can we expect from you?

Expect a set of quality music with big riffs, big kicks & big bass lines, Frase style!

3. You have been busy in the studio of late with a host of big tracks and remixes; give us the low-down on all of that?

Yeah the studio is my second home at the minute! The latest stuff which has been doing the rounds is the Frontline stuff I’ve done with Ben Gold, which has picked up huge support from Paul Van Dyk, Armin & Eddie Halliwell & I’m really chuffed the way that’s turned out! Done a few more original tracks, one which I’ve recently signed to the guys down at Recoverworld who run Discover & Flux Delux records, the others I’ll be road testing exclusively at Vaccine, so keep your ears peeled! On the remix front I’ve been doing a few for various labels, Alter Ego, MPFS & Soup Recordings which should all surface in early 2007

4. What future plans have you got coming up for the rest of the year?

Well a lot of my time is being focused on some more projects with Ben & just really working a lot harder in the studio! Also I’ve just recently gone back to university so no doubt I will have my head in some books doing some hard work for a change!

5. You are representing the UK side of this New Breed line-up, who else is doing it for you in the UK at the moment?

The Viceroy always impresses me these days, he has some solid productions under his belt & he’s going to be a name to watch out for in 2007! John Askew & Matt Hardwick, two gents who have given me a huge & overwhelming amount of support & they’re consistently two of the best dj’s the UK have to offer. It’s an exciting time for the UK at the minute as there are plenty of good quality producers & dj’s coming through the ranks, it’s about time we showed the Dutch how to do it!

6. Who else is a top tip for the next generation of djs and producers out there for you?

Ben Gold, he’s pumping out some quality tunes & dj’ing wise, one of the best jocks I’ve had the pleasure of seeing this year!

7. Now in the time honoured tradition of The Gallery interviews some quick fire random questions, if you had to live with one food stuff for the rest of your days what would it be and why?

Dominoes Texas BBQ Pizza

8. If stuck on a desert island and allowed only three records which would they be and why?

Oasis – Some might say

Tiesto – Urban Train

Chicane – Saltwater (Thrillseekers Chillout Remix)

9. And finally, the world is coming to an end in 24 hours what would you do and why?

Besides answering this interview, probably organise a shin-dig with all my friends down the local for one last pint!
