Part 058 : Art Of Trance - Madagascar (Ferry Corsten Remix)
Simon Berry is the producer behind projects such as ‘Poltergeist’, ‘Viscious Circles’ and ‘Art Of Trance’. In the year 1993 Simon (who was still a rave ad salesman that time) began work on creating a stable outlet for the music and artists he loved a lot himself. On March 22 1993 he released his track ‘Deeper Than Deep’ under the ‘Art Of Trance’ alias on his own, brand new label ‘Platipus’.
Later in the 90’s trance music became more serious and in the year 1998 Simon finished the ‘Art Of Trance’ track ‘Madagascar’. This track was released in October 1998 on ‘Platipus’ with the original version and a nice remix done by ‘Cygnus X’.
In 1999 it was re-released with new remixes done by people like Ferry Corsten and ‘Transa’. Three years later ‘Madagascar’ was re-released again. This time with more new remixes from ‘Push’, ‘Domi Nation’, ‘Kamura’ and others. In the same year ‘Platipus’ released a CD with the name ‘The Complete Madagascar’, which had all available remixes on it.
And right now there are plans again to re-release ‘Madagascar’ with new remixes. One of the remixes is done by Neal Scarborough, who’s also behind projects such as ‘Inertia’ and ‘Exertion’.
