Ha ha I had an idea for this the other day in the spam thread but the idea was delayed. Eeek, you might make Twan (Dancemania) like the hulk for this thread lol.:)

The main problem for a chat room is that there has to be a moderator and I don't think I have time to be 24 hours a day online ;)

And on the other hand, everybody has MSN / Skype / AIM or whatever these days, so I wonder if it would be very busy in the chat. In the beginning it will be busy and fun of course, but after 1 or 2 weeks I'm affraid that people getting tired of it already, so that's also an important reason why I don't think that we will get a chat here.

Twan just change the name of the spam thread to ''The Chat Room''. It's got a more chilled out vibe to it. Spam just sounds like filth basically lol!

What about ''The Hot Tub''? Or ''The Chillout Lounge''? You get the drift just something friendly, clean and relaxing.:)

I get you dude. But we're not gonna get it are we? What I was saying is it's the nearest thing and spam isn't the right name for a thread IF we ware gonna chat to Ferry or about Ferry! So I'm saying change the name to something which sounds nice. Hope that clears it up.:)

I believe we'll get the chatroom, you'll see, because has experience chatting with the fans several times.
I still don't agree with changing the name of the topic, it's just a spam topic to me. I don't see a reason to change that.

The reason we would be changing the name of the Spam thread is because several people have requested a chat room to talk amongst ourselves. Yes the spam thread is there for spam but it incites SPAM and worthless S H I T and I don't want that on the Ferry Corsten Forum! The thread encites exactly what it says on the tin. By changing its name to something more exotic then we are not gonna take the P I S S and chat about any random B U L L S H I T. Instead we will talk about nice things to each other. It's simple but effective. You'd be amazed how the name of a thread will affect us psychologically because we will think differently. I don't see how inciting spam is good for this forum. This is what I've been getting at.:rolleyes:

No dude, trust me, changing the name doesn't help at all. If this topic exists, other people won't or do less spaming in the other topics. If you don't want any spam here, you gotta tell the members to stop spamming.

I know what you mean when you say that and I've noticed but I wouldn't use anal lol. I've just been extremely ill and I still am and also people/friends have p i s s e d me off. Thats made me into some what serious/angry moods. But Moh isn't Moh without a sense of humour so long live the Spam thread! You've always got this subtle touch. When I read your post it made me smile.:)

yeah, so... back to the topic at hand.

i like real time interaction. it's true that mods can't be on 24/7, but there are ways around that. i'm going to talk to a friend of mine and maybe get an "unofficial" room going.

the problem with IM services, aside from the fact that there are so many it's retarded, is that you don't have the insanity of multiple person, real time conversation. (not unless you actually have everyone on the same messenger and someone is in charge of inviting everyone to a room, anyway)


well, off to the races. important medical research is calling my name (well, maybe not that important).
