View Full Version : Flashover @ PaSSion @ The Emporium, Coalville; 28th April

From what I remember of last night at PaSSion, I saw a poster for a Flashover night with Ferry, Ronald van Gelderen and a few others. Would love to go this, but it clashes with Armada @ Gods, and PaSSion is an expensive mission to get to and back from.
 Nooooooooo this can't be true!!!!!!!!!!

Think I'll do this over Gods, as PaSSion's better and I'm hoping to see Armin at ASOT 300 and at the Armada night at The Gallery on 11th May.
If this is true I'm there! Passion rocks! Was like 2003 since ferry was last there!

Seeing ferry @ passion has always been my dream club/dj combination...
Passion was awesome for Armin's homecoming on saturday and now ferry's next month?
OMG i dont think i can handle the excitement....
Hearing Armin play exhale was a very fitting end to his homecoming, wonder if ferry has a special Passion track to finish his set with?!?!

I'm here for sure! Wanted to go and see Armin here on the weekend but plans got cancelled which was a big disappointment but hopefully I will go and see Armin for the first time soon! I can't believe Armin is playing on the same night at Godskitchen. Such a dilema!!

Saturday was only my second time at PaSSion but the atmosphere felt like what it may have felt like in the old days, absolutely electric, Gods pales in comparison.

Not sure why it has to be JFK Live & Loud Presents, I'm just not a fan of him as a DJ, and as a promoter he induldges his ego.
Anyway tickets are on sale at Ticketweb.co.uk
Considering Armin closed his set at the last PaSSion with Exhale, it'd be fitting if Ferry opened his set at the next PaSSion with it, especially as Armin will be down the road.
**Fingers crossed for Ferry at Gatecrsher Summer Sound System**

Well, Birmingham is in central England and so's Coalville. Coalville is not too far from Birmingham. But they are in two seperate counties. Birmingham is in the county of West Midlands and Coalville is in the county of Leicestershire. They are both neighbouring counties. For those of you who don't understand what I mean by a county, its the same principle as an American state or province in any other country. If you've heard of Leicester, then you might like to know its quite close to Leicester. The nearest train station to Coalville is Burton-On-Trent which is close to Leicester. THERE!!! SORTED!!!. Yes, I agree that Coalville is not a major city and its in the middle of no where but hey, it's the same dilema for most of us that don't live near Coalville.:)

Yeah I'm planning on being there for this, although Armin will be awesome and half of the reason PaSSion was so good was due to Armin; Ferry at PaSSion should generate just as much of an atmosphere. Though I'm going to wait to see who's on at Crasher in Leeds - as it may be an actual Crasher and not classics -, Electronic Sessions and Off The Rails. Desboy should also be in attendance.

Classics are the best though. There's not that much of classic trance played these days anywhere so thanks to Gatecrasher we experience it. I'll be in Gatecrasher, Leeds for Gatecrasher Classics on Sat 24th March 2007. It's an excellent line up.:)

I'm not bothered with classics nights, when I go out I want to hear the best songs that are currently out, the scene needs to keep looking forward. Of course I still love the odd classic, as that's testament to the scene's strength, like at the end of Armin's set at PaSSion, he dropped Exhale, and they showed the video on the screens, to pay homage to the fact that the video for it was filmed there all those years ago when the scene was quite different.

It depends on what your favorite dance/EDM genre is. I'm trance thru and thru out. If you are into electro then classics are not gonna play a big part in your favourites! Of course, electro is big at the moment. Even Ferry is trance thru and thru out. His sounds may vary from year to year but he still keeps trance alive. And trance is what he does!
Classics aka TRANCE!! Thats for me! And thats for Ferry too!!
Guys chill. He won't be playing a classics set. Was just having fun is all.

A Passion Grandmaster.
When I first heard System F’s ‘OUT OF THE BLUE’ I knew that this record would change how I listened to dance music forever.
Out of the house scene emerged this electrifying revolutionary uplifting new sound called trance, and with it spawned a nation of party crazed animals wearing glowing colour and wild outfits.
When I was asked to take along one new record to review for Mixmag’s ‘The Judge and the Jury’ section I readily clutched this piece of precious vinyl for myself Judge Jules and Scott Bond to listen to, we all gushed at its power to destroy dance floors and agreed that it was a defining moment in musical history, a record that stands the test of time today.
Ferry Corsten was Passions very first Dutch import and we had the privilege of having him as monthly resident for well over a year in the late 90’s, he had such an affinity with us at Passion he even commissioned a shooting of his video to the track ‘Exhale’ to be filmed live with his beloved Passion audience in the video.
His career has since sky rocketed with DJing sets and hit records around the globe.
Having not played at Passion for over 4 years, we are extremely excited at his prodigal return.
With the re-launch of our hugely successful ‘Grandmasters’ series, there was one candidate that instantly sprang to mind.
Ferry Corsten… we salute you as a Passion Grandmaster 2007!

Guys chill. He won't be playing a classics set. Was just having fun is all.
Didn't see you joking about Fezza playing classics, just discussing them because of it falling on the same date as Crasher Classics at Discothèque, as far as I remember.
I also only ever really listen to trance, but classics as a brand for Crasher have been milked to death. It's ashame to see people like Signum brought into the country purely to play a classics set.

What I like about the 'Classics' is that the artist who's tunes that are played the most is Ferry. So what I like to do is listen to classic trance or as most of us know it as is PROPER TRANCE! Trance is different today than it used to be and the reason its known as 'Crasher Classics is because it exactly does that, plays classic trance that built the way for the true clubbing scene mainly at Gatecrasher, as its the biggest and best dance/EDM brand in the world!
Well maybe as with most trance artists, Signum's heart is in trance hence wanting to play at Gatecrasher Classics.
Trust me, the whole 'Gatecrasher Classics' concept is great if you are like me and love old school progressive trance and old school Ferry trance!
Why do you think this concept is a bad thing? If you love trance so much, what is wrong with a monthly classics event?
To me this is a great thing, just what I've always wanted. I live next to Leeds and this is ace for me to be able to listen to the best trance ever on a monthly basis with big names such as Rank 1, Airwave and Signum who've all been to play classics sets in Gatecrasher Leeds. Bring it on I say!:)
