Part 063 : Freakyman - Discobug '97 (Got The Feelin' Now) (Dance Therapy Mixx)
The producer who’s behind the project ‘Freakyman’ is Dutchman André van den Bosch. André already started with producing dance music at an early age. Some of his aliases are ‘The Difference’, ‘Tony Walker’ and (the most famous and successful one) ‘De Bos’. In the year 1996 he finished a track, which he called ‘Discobug’. The track saw a release under the ‘Freakyman’ alias on the Purple Eye sub-label ‘Tremolo’. On the B-side there was a track called ‘You Gotta (Slam Edit)’. ‘Discobug’ didn’t became a very big hit, but because the record company really believed in the track, they decided to re-release it a year later.
So in 1997 ‘Discobug’ was re-released again on ‘Tremolo’ and it got ‘Discobug ’97 (Got The Feelin’ Now)’ as title. It was also released in the UK on the ‘Xtravaganza Recordings’ label. The remixes of the track were done by people such as Koen Groeneveld and Addy van der Zwan (The Klubb Kings), Ferry Corsten (under his ‘Dance Therapy’ alias), DJ Errik and André himself did a remix under his alias ‘The Difference’ as well.
As some of you might know already, Ferry and André were both in the same class during highschool. Ferry and André also did the 'Soundcheck' project together on 'Tsunami' and Ferry remixed various productions by André (De Bos, Freakyman and Tony Walker).
