Part 071 : B.B.E. - Seven Days And One Week (Ferry Corsten Remix)
In 1996 the French dance act ‘B.B.E.’ released their very first single, which was called ‘Seven Days And One Week’. ‘B.B.E.’ stands for Bruno Sanchioni, Bruno Quartier and Emmanuel Top. Sanchioni (who also was one of the brains behind ‘Age Of Love - The Age Of Love’) and Quartier wrote the music together, while Emmanuel Top produced, arranged and mixed the final track. ‘Seven Days And One Week’ became a huge success in the dance charts all around the world. Because of this, the record company decided to make a radio edit from the track and release it as a single as well. They also made a video clip and not long after that, the track entered the regular single charts as well. It was licensed to several other countries / labels also and ‘Seven Days And One Week’ became very successful all around the world.
In the year 1998 B.B.E. released their first album ‘Games’ and of course, you can find ‘Seven Days And One Week’ on that album as well. A year later, the track was re-released with some new remixes that were done by Moguai and Kai Tracid.
Because of the 10th year anniversary of the UK based label ‘Positiva’, they asked several people to remix some of their former releases. So in 2003 ‘Seven Days And One Week’ was getting re-released with some brand new remixes done by Ferry Corsten and Tomcraft. Some older remixes (Rollo & Sister Bliss, Kai Tracid, Moguai and others) were on the new release as well.
One of the very first times that Ferry played his own new remix in public, was at the ‘Sensation White’ event in the Amsterdam Arena at 05-07-2003.
