Part 073 : Vincent de Moor - Orion City (Moonman’s Drift Remix)
Dutch producer / remixer Vincent de Moor started with producing music in the year 1993. Besides many productions that got released under his own name, Vincent is also the brain behind other projects such as ‘Questia’, ‘Flashbang’, ‘V-Lock’, ‘Phocus’ and ‘Fix To Fax’ for example. In 1999 he did the ‘Veracocha’ project together with Ferry Corsten. Their track ‘Carte Blanche’ became a huge success in the dance charts world wide!
One of the first Vincent de Moor productions that got very successful was the track ‘Flowtation’. This one was released in 1997 on the famous XL Recordings label and after the release it entered the UK dance charts, where it got a very nice chart position. ‘Flowtation’ was recently re-released with new remixes done by ‘Roy Gates’ and ‘Signum’. The original version is still mentioned as one of the most famous trance classics ever.
In 1998 Vincent released the track ‘Orion City’ on the Dutch label ‘Deal Recordings’. Besides the original version, you can also find a remix done by Ferry Corsten under his ‘Moonman’ alias on this release. Sander Kleinenberg and Stef Vrolijk did a remix under their ‘S’N’S’ alias and Marco Andrea Doria (known from his hit record ‘Bucci Bag’) did a remix of ‘Orion City’ as well (under his MC Hair alias). A few months after the original release, the track was released as well on the first Vincent de Moor album ‘Orion City’ (also in 1998). Furthermore the track was released later in several other countries as well.
