Cubikated???

Excuse me for being dull but i was wondering if anyone could let me know where i could get hold of ferry corsten's track 'cubikated', ive searched for it a few places on the internet and downloaded a few live ferry corsten sets off kazaa but ive had no luck. i was hoping it would be on his right of way album but it isnt, is it on any other ferry corsten albums?

Any help on how to find a copy of this track i would be very grateful.

no one knows yet. i think ferry corsten is looking for the permission. bc several months ago on his top 5, he put "?" as the artist name. it ws like this: ? - Cubikated . so we'll what's gonna happen.

I hope it does get released because its awesome, i seen him live in the summer and he played it towards the end of his set and the club i was in was bouncing! but then i went to see him a few weeks after that and he didnt put it in his set.
I was tempted to go and ask him how i could get hold of a copy of it but i bottled it. lol

Ive got a copy of the original which is Cubik by 808 state, it come out in the early 90's.
Perhaps a thread should be started demanding ferry to release it! hahaha

Ferry plays it a lot in his recent gigs. It was played (for example) at events like Dance Valley, Innercity, Lovefields, Fast Forward Dance Parade etc. etc.

Any more news on when 'cubikated' will be released or where i can get hold of it? its nearly a year since i heard ferry play it live and im itching to get hold of a copy of it.

Soz to bring this up again, but did someone mention that it was another version on Cubik By 808 State? I have the original, and its realy good! Very smart as well! I have Cubikated on a Complation, given to me by someone, but i dont know if its an early version or if it wasent all put on the compilation so i cant tell if its another version of it...

I think Ferry used the '?' on his site instead of his own name cause, I'm sure, he makes songs, wont say it was him that made it, dose a DJ set, Sees the reaction, If he dosent like it, changes it, dose it all over again till hes satisfied and then after that he will tell people about the track...

At first, he might have been unsure about it and thats why he used the '?' instead...

I made the same mistake: in the Megamix of Sensation White there was 808 State - Cubik, but I thought it was Cubikated, knowing it wasn't even released before

Anyway, I hope Ferr releases it soon, although it won't be that big news when that happens :rolleyes: ;)

description of Cubikated:

lots of:
- "boom boom boom boom" (that's right, bass kicks)
- funny LFO's and sounds going up and down during the intro of the track, and sounds between these LFO's a sound as if a horse is galopping or something on a street (sounds like "duk- ka duk- ka-duk") during the whole track
- weird intro percussion rhythm with heavy accents on the first two beats, light third and empty fouth beat, out of which the heavy bass kicks emerge
- a weird noise almost saying "this time it's really great" (my lively imagination :p you would think)
- and most of all the repeated but extremely hypnotising melody phrase: "TA TA TAA TAA TAAAAA!!!"

Hi.

I am possibly 808 State's biggest fan, and a massive fan of Ferry's, you just don't get any better trance than the F Massif 'Somebody' remix.

Cubikated is indeed a new version of the 808 State track which was released in 1990. It is a lot faster and harder obviously and brings the track bang up to date. Whilst you can't beat the 808 State track for its originality, Ferry's version is very very good. There are many versions of the track in existence, from the original 808 State versions through a lot of bootleg mixes to Ferry's version. The track was re-released in 1998 as a '10 year celebration of 808 State' entitled 'Cubik 808:98'

808 State are regarded as one of the UK's pioneering dance acts and whilst very different to Ferry's music, I suggest you check them out.

I really hope this gets a release and is included on the new album as I think it really does the original justice.

In one Ferry's set tracklist in Spain (Bacardy Ministry of Sound @ la cubierta de Leganés with AvB, PvD and Marco V) I saw this Cubikated as Mirko Milano - Bang the Box...I am not sure, but this tune (Bang the Box) sounds quite similar to Cubikated...I even thought it was the same...Can anyone assert this Cubikated is a Ferry's one??or is it this Bang the Box? :confused: :confused: :confused:
