who's going to this? i really really want to... but i am going to chicago for chirstmas and will already be back in detroit when this happens :( i have plenty of vacation days, but i don't think my boss will let me take those first two days off unless i can come up with some results here at work in the next two weeks...

Hey Golf, they dont check with lasers just bouncers checking ID's in the front of the club, if you get past them its worth a try. As for Vision its pretty cool, I dont know what cynaesthesia is talking about! :p

Golf, how old are you man?

Anyways, if they give you hell about it and you are almost 21, just try and explain why you NEED to be in there, and that it is new years day. They may be lenient. At least in New Orleans they are, but hey, this is New Orleans and everything goes. Once you get to be 24 though, they still card you, no matter where you go. I got carded very hard at VooDoo Music Experience here in New Orleans when Ferry Played, but it was because I had all access and V.I.P. . What a killer night. They shut the power off on Ferry and wouldn't let him play an encore!!!! I was pleading my case with them, and they stood firm. Ferry was pulling out a Tsunami record, and it was ...... Out of the Blue. Oh well. Till next time. Good Luck Mate.

Where do you live Golf? Around the Chicago area? I say go for it if you dont drive very far. The worst I have seen them do is take away a fake and tell that person to leave. They pay less attention if you have pre-sale, I have noticed as well. As for Ferry coming back here, I dont know about that he's here every 4 months or so, last time he was in Chicago(September) he told me he wouldnt be back until next year and kinda chuckled to himself, I think he was just kidding around becuase he knew he was gonna be back on the 1st of the year but wanted to give off the impression it would be forever b4 he comes back.

yeah, 4 hour drive, I wish Ferry would come to Houston, Tx more often. Thats a 4 hour drive for me. I have to drive to Dallas to see him which is a grueling 7 hour trip. I've done it before though, alone. Lots of COFFEE! Good thing I have friends in Dallas, or I wouldnt have even thought about going. GOOD TIMES.

yeah... as for vision, try being a chick and wearing heels at a club with that many *&$#ing stairs... :mad: makes it a bit less cool. i learned after the first time.


i don't really care for vision... i just don't like the set up. if you are on the dance floor, you can't see the dj very well. if you are on the balcony, you don't have much room to dance. those are my two major complaints. that and all the damned stairs ;)

I've been to Vision numerous times....never had any problem with IDs...but i'm 26! haha. No seriously....the don't have laser / blacklight machines or anything....it'll be cold....they'll take a quick look at the ID and shoo you in. I say the keys to it are (1. presale tix MAY have it easier) (2. dress classy) (3. ACT classy) You talk like a bumbling fool or look like a problem.....they may look a bit harder at that ID. Other than that---if it's a good fake....i wouldn't worry about it. There are MUCH harder places to get in.

As for Vision---i think it is virtually the ONLY true venue in Chicago to see big-name DJ's. I know Sound-Bar TRIES....but it is a true FAILURE with the set-up they have and everything else. Vision has a great light/sound-system and i LIKE the fact that you can chat with the DJ so easily there. Always have a great time---that's just my opinion though.

With that said.....looking forward to another great FERRY NITE on JAN. 1st!!!

aww man that was f*ckin amazing!!!! im still kind hoarse from it. when they set off the co2 guns, man that REALLY cooled me off, and they set off so much from the 2nd floor it looked like u could walk on it (so pissed i didnt take a vid of that) . the area behind the dj booth on the 2nd floor aint that big, and i didnt see any TA's there, i was askin round, couldnt find any and was gonna meet some there. i was on the 2nd floor left of ferry if ur facing the booth, u can see from the vids/pics. im uppin them now to my server, w00t!!!! what a night!! i didnt feel that damn U2 song tho, ugh

I couldn't think of starting the new year off better than Ferry @ Vision. Jon O did an awesome job provoking people with his set and then Ferry came in and detinated a thermo nuclear device and blew everyone away!
