ok who was at platinum (28/11/04)?!?! - had a fantastic night... a little suprised at the lack of Force Of Gravity... but Sahara and Corderoys Sweetest Dream as an ending lineup perfected the night... a night in which i would doubt the atmosphere could be recreated... my first night seeing ferry and all i can say is BRING ON THE FAMILY... this will truly be a night to remember... thanks ferry :)

We flew up from Melbourne for the night to get a taste of the 'up close and personal' opportunity afforded at Platinum...

Not having been to Platinum before, or having any idea of the Gold Coast definition of 'Dance Club', I was weirded out by the bouncer on the door telling me that I'd have to roll my (cargo) pants down if I wanted to come in ! WTF ??

Anyways, the "Paris Hilton scene" was the one of the funniest things I've seen all year ! -- I kid you not, if there was one, there were a dozen of them..

To figure out who was there for the scene, and who was there to see Ferry came down glancing floorward ... I'd guesstimate that 10% of the punters were wearing feet that were dance compatible. Subsequently by the end of the night, I reckon the "crowd" was down to about 150 max -- which was like being at an exclusive party with 149 of your closest friends. Awesome!

Very different feel to the QBH gig, but being able to get that close to Ferry, and the way he interacts with the crowd made the sleep depravation a small price to pay !

Loved it ! (Was a shame I didn't meet anyone from here tho) Can't wait for next time !

(I was the really tall guy with the little red headed girl who hung out on the couch near the ATM until Ferry came on)
