Last year, the 250th and New Year’s live editions of Corsten’s Countdown spiked Twitter trends, premiered new anthems and transfixed music lovers around the globe. Today, electronic music maven Ferry Corsten reveals the first details of his third extended spectacular. Putting Summer 2013 into high gear, on June 2nd, Ferry moves the action to Europe. He’ll once again provide another track-packed 8-hour epic Corsten’s Countdown transmission sensation! Ireland’s national broadcaster, RTÉ will be hosting the Corsten’s Countdown Summer Special, which will beam out from their Dublin-based studios and be carried around the world.
On announcing the show, Ferry said: "I’m really excited to start my first ever Corsten’s Countdown summer edition. There is nothing more exciting than hearing your favourite summer tunes while gearing up for this hot and steamy season!"

Taking over the SiriusXM airwaves for 8hrs at a time, previous live editions of Corsten’s Countdown have drawn listenerships numbered up in the 100s of 1000s. Most recently, through its thrilling, feature packed action (and often fan-guided musical content), the 2012 New Year’s broadcast trended 3 times on Twitter.
Now, much more is in store! When passion is music and life does not exist without art, one is a true artist. With the seam-splitting rapid pace of entertainment technology today, it is impossible for a true artist to ever really rest. Globally recognized electronic dance music (EDM) DJ, producer and artist of over 21 years, Ferry Corsten, successfully opened the 2013 season of his FULL ON (Hosted By Ferry Corsten) tour with a jam-packed show in Jakarta, Indonesia on April 5th. It is a sign of great things to come for this amazing back-to-back concept between artists of various genres. Not content to dominate just one continent, Corsten and his hand-picked lineup of musician-friends are taking over the world.
Featuring big-name EDM acts that have stormed the U.S. recently, including, ATB, Bassjackers, Tritonal and Cosmic Gate, Corsten hits America on May 11th at EchoStage in Washington, DC (with Tritonal and Bassjackers). The FULL ON show at EchoStage will mark the triumphant return of Corsten to this venue, this time with an army of a different sort. Other acts on the various FULL ON shows will include rising-stars, W&W, along with Ronski Speed, Solarstone, Shogun, Orjan Nilsen, John O’Callaghan, Sied van Riel, Aly & Fila and Rudee, among others.
On May 17th, Corsten will bring FULL ON to Exchange nightclub in Los Angeles (with Bassjackers) and this time, Audien will help Ferry’s team do battle against mediocrity. Today’s music fans are more connected than ever and there is no tolerance for rolling into town with anything less than a stellar show. The bar has effectively been raised. There is no room for second-best in the live entertainment business, and for a traveling act like FULL ON to be demanded time and time again by discerning, globally-connected fans is in and of itself the best endorsement of excellence.
May 19th will see FULL ON saunter into Kool Haus in Toronto, Canada, and the ground troops for this show will include Tritonal and Bassjackers. Each group of FULL ON support acts have been painstakingly chosen by Ferry Corsten according to the city and venue for maximum impact. Corsten himself naturally anchors each FULL ON show with his own electrifying DJ set.
In late-July, FULL ON will travel to one of the best festivals in the world, Tomorrowland in Belgium, where FULL ON will bring it to fans from the dedicated FULL ON stage. After that, there will be 10 FULL ON shows on the Balearic island of Ibiza, the summer playground of Europeans and increasingly also of Americans bent on seeking a less commercial-sounding EDM.
FULL ON is not your typical event. The best feature of this extravagant show is the back-to-back sets between Corsten and his star-studded DJ guests. The FULL ON show provides an immersive experience through its unique blend of house, trance and electro.
FULL ON was first launched in 2007 in Ahoy, Rotterdam, The Netherlands.
