When passion is music and life does not exist without art, one is a true artist. With the seam-splitting rapid pace of entertainment technology today, it is impossible for a true artist to ever really rest. Globally recognized electronic dance music (EDM) DJ, producer and artist of over 21 years, Ferry Corsten, successfully opened the 2013 season of his FULL ON (Hosted By Ferry Corsten) tour with a jam-packed show in Jakarta, Indonesia on April 5th. It is a sign of great things to come for this amazing back-to-back concept between artists of various genres. Not content to dominate just one continent, Corsten and his hand-picked lineup of musician-friends are taking over the world.
Featuring big-name EDM acts that have stormed the U.S. recently, including, ATB, Bassjackers, Tritonal and Cosmic Gate, Corsten hits America on May 11th at EchoStage in Washington, DC (with Tritonal and Bassjackers). The FULL ON show at EchoStage will mark the triumphant return of Corsten to this venue, this time with an army of a different sort. Other acts on the various FULL ON shows will include rising-stars, W&W, along with Ronski Speed, Solarstone, Shogun, Orjan Nilsen, John O’Callaghan, Sied van Riel, Aly & Fila and Rudee, among others.
On May 17th, Corsten will bring FULL ON to Exchange nightclub in Los Angeles (with Bassjackers) and this time, Audien will help Ferry’s team do battle against mediocrity. Today’s music fans are more connected than ever and there is no tolerance for rolling into town with anything less than a stellar show. The bar has effectively been raised. There is no room for second-best in the live entertainment business, and for a traveling act like FULL ON to be demanded time and time again by discerning, globally-connected fans is in and of itself the best endorsement of excellence.
May 19th will see FULL ON saunter into Kool Haus in Toronto, Canada, and the ground troops for this show will include Tritonal and Bassjackers. Each group of FULL ON support acts have been painstakingly chosen by Ferry Corsten according to the city and venue for maximum impact. Corsten himself naturally anchors each FULL ON show with his own electrifying DJ set.
In late-July, FULL ON will travel to one of the best festivals in the world, Tomorrowland in Belgium, where FULL ON will bring it to fans from the dedicated FULL ON stage. After that, there will be 10 FULL ON shows on the Balearic island of Ibiza, the summer playground of Europeans and increasingly also of Americans bent on seeking a less commercial-sounding EDM.
FULL ON is not your typical event. The best feature of this extravagant show is the back-to-back sets between Corsten and his star-studded DJ guests. The FULL ON show provides an immersive experience through its unique blend of house, trance and electro.
FULL ON was first launched in 2007 in Ahoy, Rotterdam, The Netherlands. Since then, the show has toured worldwide and played in numerous sold-out venues featuring DJs such as Sander van Doorn, Fedde Le Grand, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Chicane, Mat Zo, Michael Woods and others. More dates for FULL ON 2013 will be added in the coming days and weeks.
Some great news about some of Ferry Corsten’s upcoming releases! Hi track "Love Will" (featuring Duane Harden) is at number 1 in the UK Music Week Club Chart! And if that isn't enough yet, "Stars", from Betsie Larkin and Ferry is at the number 6 spot in the same chart this week!
And... "Rock Your Body Rock 2013" (with great remixes from Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike and Arty) rises to #8 in the Cool Cuts Chart of this week! And last but not least, “Rock Your Body Rock 2013” is at #2 in the DMC Buzz Chart of this week. Plus the new Ferry Corsten track “Black Light” enters the Buzz Chart at #14!
On Thursday March 21, Ferry Corsten is going to do a 1 hour DJ set on SiriusXM / Electric Area between 1 - 2 PM Eastern Time. This will be done live from the SiriusXM Music Lounge in Miami. And between 2 - 3 PM, Ferry is co-hosting the show together with the SiriusXM DJs, so don't forget to tune in!
An excited hush washes over the darkened arena, intense anticipation filling the air as thousands of world-weary club-goers await the spectacle about to ensue. After a hair-raising intro conjuring an edgy, dystopian future…boom! White-hot lights illuminate the two electronic dance music (EDM) heavyweights onstage together and ready to do battle. Each one is a superstar DJ and producer in his own right, but the Netherlands’ Ferry Corsten and the U.S.’s Markus Schulz put on a show so electrifying that the impact is greater than the sum of its parts. What began as a few spontaneous DJ sets between good friends and collaborators has grown into a hybrid stage persona after which discerning EDM fans lust. The result is the New World Punx (NWP), the high-energy DJ duo consisting of Markus Schulz and Ferry Corsten. The name derives from Ferry Corsten’s massive anthem, “Punk,” and Markus Schulz’s hit, “The New World.”
Each with his own distinct style of DJing and music production, Corsten and Schulz create an utterly different world when they team up as New World Punx. The NWP sound is harder, more driving and more aggressive than the melodic, euphoric style of soaring trance. Be they side-by-side onstage or in the studio releasing music under the NWP moniker, Schulz and Corsten’s combined persona is much tighter and more dynamic than the longer, more progressive sets they’re known to play solo. The NWP show is something their fans have come to demand, and the act’s evolution came about entirely organically. The initial seeds of inspiration for NWP were born during Schulz and Corsten’s back-to-back set at Godskitchen in Birmingham in March 2012, evolving into tag-teaming sets at Electric Daisy Carnival (EDC) at Tao Beach in Las Vegas, and Echostage in Washington D.C., the latter a mind-blowing seven-hour gig that was broadcast live in the U.S. on SiriusXM Radio. The NWP sets are vigorous and perfectly marry Corsten’s and Schulz’s individual sounds. The result is a perfect sonic storm that caters to the short attention spans of today’s tech-savvy music consumers.
The New World Punx officially launch worldwide with their first three shows in North America: March 24th at Mansion in Miami, Florida; March 30th at “The World’s Most Famous Arena,” Madison Square Garden in New York City, during the A State Of Trance 600-The Expedition world tour; and March 31st at Bal en Blanc in Montreal, Canada. European dates will be announced soon.

Originally from Germany and based now out of Miami, Markus Schulz holds the 2012-2013 title of “America’s Best DJ” as voted by the readers of DJ Times magazine. Over the last 10 years, he’s crafted the individual musical identities of progressive, trance and house into his own unique sound. His “Global DJ Broadcast” radio show is heard by millions each week and is aired on SiriusXM in the U.S., DI.fm and 50 other radio stations around the world. Schulz is label chief of his own Coldharbour Recordings (under the Armada Music umbrella) and has helped launch the careers of aspiring talent from around the world. Schulz has four full-length studio albums under his belt – including Do You Dream? and Scream – and those works have brought forth the dancefloor crowd-rockers, “The New World,” “Nothing Without Me” featuring Ana Diaz, “Love Rain Down” featuring Seri, “Perception” and “Do You Dream?”
Ferry Corsten and Markus Schulz create magic together in the studio, and they’ve unleashed the dancefloor annihilators, “Loops & Tings” and “Stella,” the former reaching #1 on Beatport’s “Top 100 Trance” chart and voted “best track” by listeners during the eight-hour live radio broadcast commemorating the 250th episode of “Corsten’s Countdown.” Forthcoming releases under the NWP alias are in the works.

For the luckiest amongst us, life can be a fairytale. At long last, the third and latest installment of the popular electronic dance music (EDM) mix compilation "Once Upon A Night, Vol.3" is available. Mixed by globally respected DJ/producer and electronic musician, Ferry Corsten, the release consists of two discs of the most succulent, painstakingly selected trance, progressive house and electro tracks to fly out of loudspeakers this year. Much more agile and thoughtful than the typical club mix of banging, anthemic tunes, "Once Upon A Night, Vol.3" instead paints an otherworldly story of a long night out where danger and mystery meet sex and bliss. See it as an aural tale that conjures deep memories while creating new ones, and the double disc compilation perfectly captures the tense excitement one feels right before embarking on a night on-the-town. Ferry Corsten is a master at crafting epic audio voyages and in Corsten’s world, anything can happen.
Corsten’s "Once Upon A Night" series prides itself on discovering the best in upfront unreleased music. The popularity of the compilations themselves has helped launch the careers of DJs/producers who have gone on to achieve great success, among them, Arty.
Disc 1 kicks off with Klauss Goulart’s provocative “One Tear Away” before lifting off into the heavens with Analog Sound Department’s soaring “Greetings”, then segueing seamlessly into Amyr-S’s incredibly gorgeous “Priceless Time”. Denver’s Beta Nightclub resident DJs, Dragon & Jontron, team up with Lea Luna on the dirty-yet-thrilling “Tonight” before dipping into Guy Mearns’ trance-loving “K8”. Yuri Kane brings the vocals of Jeza front-and-center on the heartbreaking “Love Comes” just as M.I.K.E.’s booming, euphoric “Any Direction” makes its impact felt. Felix Leiter’s zippy electro house track, “Nobody’s Going Anywhere”, precedes Tellur’s snarling, stomping “You” before exploding into Cosmic Gate’s muscular trance annihilator, “Crushed”; an explosive track that descends from upon high. Ferry Corsten’s own “Silfra” follows with beaming rays of acoustic sunshine, a tune Corsten’s fans have hungrily demanded during his live DJ sets. Festen’s obliterating “Give It To Them” conjures a chaotic dreamscape heading into Kamo’s massive “Vocoder” before Bulat Nanox closes CD1 with the insistent and victorious “Vodka.”
Disc 2 begins with Moonpax’s magical “Avantgard” before diving into Purple Stories’ hands-in-the-air “Path To Nowhere” and Husman’s stunning “E.D.M”. JC Chasez’s vocals grace BT’s “Force Of Gravity,” an extraordinarily beautiful and haunting song. Afterwards, Ellie Lawson’s vocals augment Ferry Corsten’s lifesaving, achingly magnificent “A Day Without Rain”. Andain’s breathy voice mesmerizes on the spellbinding “What It’s Like”, then it’s on to REZarin’s stimulating “Cambodia”. Flashtech’s filthy production on “The Right Way” gives way to Setrise vs. Johann Stone’s earth-shaking “MNE”. Aruna’s radio friendly “Save The Day” is another bright spot on this brilliant compilation, followed by Sound Quelle’s invigorating “7.07” and Marsbeing and MalYar’s irresistible “Walking To The Stars”. Alas, the piece de resistance is Ferry Corsten vs. Markus Schulz’s “Stella”, the duo’s shockingly good remake of Jam & Spoon’s classic track and one of the best recordings ever made. A Ferry Corsten remix of the new Dash Berlin finishes off CD2 with “When You Were Around” ft. Kate Walsh.
Music-lovers will agree that "Once Upon A Night, Vol.3" is undoubtedly one of the best compilations of the year!
