Op woensdag 11 april aanstaande viert Ferry Corsten de 250ste episode van zijn wereldwijde radioshow ‘Corsten’s Countdown’, met een acht uur durende live set vanuit New York. Voor het radiostation SLAM!FM reden genoeg om dit jubileum alvast eerder live op de Nederlandse radio met hem te vieren. Woensdag 4 april is Ferry te gast bij ‘De Avondploeg’, waar luisteraars de wereldberoemde DJ het hemd van het lijf kunnen vragen. Daarna vanaf 22.00 uur is het genieten geblazen met een twee uur durende live set van maestro Corsten. Iedereen die een verzoekplaatje heeft kan dit via Twitter insturen met vermelding van #CC250. Ook maken luisteraars kans om live aanwezig te zijn bij dit intieme feestje in Hilversum, door maandag en dinsdag te luisteren naar ‘De Avondploeg’.

250ste Uitzending Ferry Corsten’s Countdown
Op 11 april zendt de Amerikaanse radiozender Sirius XM, vanuit New York een speciale 8 uur durende live show uit, ter gelegenheid van de 250ste uitzending van Ferry's radio show 'Corsten's Countdown. Hierbij zijn ook enkele artiesten aanwezig, die hebben meegewerkt aan het nieuwe Ferry Corsten album "WKND”. Tijdens de live uitzending kunnen luisteraars over de hele wereld via Facebook, Twitter (met vermelding van #CC250) en via de website http://www.corstenscountdown.com hun favoriete plaat aanvragen.

Het radiostation SLAM!FM kan dit niet zomaar voorbij laten gaan en heeft Ferry uitgenodigd om  woensdag aanstaande te gast te zijn bij het rebelse duo ‘De Avondploeg’. Van 21.00 tot 22.00 uur kunnen SLAM!FM luisteraars al hun vragen stellen aan Ferry Corsten. Daarna draait hij een live set tot 00.00 uur. De tracks die Ferry draait kunnen luisteraars mede bepalen door hun favoriete plaat te sturen via Twitter met vermelding van #CC250 en via facebook.com/ferrycorsten. Ook maken een aantal gelukkige luisteraars kans om de exclusieve set van Ferry Corsten live te beleven in de studio van SLAM!FM in Hilversum. Last weekend the winners of the fifth annual Beatport Music Awards got revelaed. And we are proud to announce that the great Arty Rock-N-Rolla Mix of Ferry Corsten’s track “Punk” got picked as best  trance track of the year! The winners of the 2012 Beatport Music Awards were determined by Beatport sales figures. In March 2011 the remix of Russian talent Arty got released alongside other remixes from  the likes of Sidney Samson, Cosmic Gate, Marlo and others.

We are happy to announce that Ferry Corsten will perform again at one of Europe's biggest outdoor dance festivals; Tomorrowland! The 8th edition of the annual festival by ID&T will be held at the end of July and Ferry will play on the 2nd festival day (Saturday July 28) at "De Schorre" in Boom.

In order to celebrate the release of his new album WKND Ferry Corsten has announced that he will have an exclusive signing session during Full on Ferry at the Matrixx. For all you fans out there, this is the moment to get your CD meet with Ferry and have your copy signed by the man himself. The session will take place from 23:30 till 00:00. During the night Ferry will play back2back sets with no less than Aly & Fila and Zoo Brazil. The night will be completed with a live performance by Ben Hague. Ferry Corsten recently released the single ‘Ain’t No Stoppin’ which he made together with Ben. See you there!

Finally it’s here and already storming the top 10 charts of iTunes USA and The Netherlands. Ever since testing the first demo’s on the dancefloor, the scale of the hype for the new Ferry Corsten album has been huge, and now, finally the WKND starts here!

In general, we just want positive vibes when it’s our weekend and not have too much to worry about. That’s why I really wanted to give the album an uplifting and positive vibe. You will find more vocal tracks then I ever did on one album. I worked little over a year on this album and I am really proud of the result and can’t wait to hear what the fans think of the album!”
